Notes
Tape and Suzan went to the village to follow up on the smearing of the buildings and the construction of the high risen firewood storages in the kitchens. When they got there, they were welcomed by three committee group leaders, the chairperson and two group mobilizers. Unfortunately and according to the chairperson, most members were preparing to go to the funeral of a child which was taking place at one of the members homes within the village. It was so sad to hear such news that day and Kibo staff felt sorry for their loss. The group decided to follow up on a few homes for those who stayed behind and check on their facilities. Together they managed to visit only six homes and the members were all found cooking on their fuel efficient stoves although they needed to smear and seal off the cracks they got. Also some members needed to construct the high risen firewood storages in their kitchens so as to avoid wasting much time in the forests in search of firewood. About four members out of six were found with good strong firewood stands in their kitchens and Kibo staff requested them to guide their fellow members on how to build stronger stands and dish racks. This was important because it would enable them develop faster and live a better life with their families. Suzan thanked the leaders for walking them through the village and the meeting came to an end.
