- Ida went to Nawandyo to introduce program to a community and also taught a lesson about Jesus Lord of everything.(Jesus calms the storm. Luke 8:22-56)
She first told the community what to expect during her time in Nawandyo. She told them the lessons that will be taught which will include both Spiritual, social and development.
She asked the community to mention some of the storms they go through.
The first storm was Covid 19, and all different sicknesses were mentioned. Mr. Ndalike said that poverty is the biggest storm he is facing.
When the discussion was going on, the other two groups that were waiting for their turn,came and were complaining that they too needed to attend the lesson at that very time because they didn’t have any free time later.
Ida paused for some time as the chairperson was sorting out the problem.
The community didn’t want to meet in groups, they wanted to meet at the same time as it used to be before Covid 19 lockdown.
Ida explained how the district officials directed her to conduct lessons not to exceed ten people.
Finally the community agreed to meet in three groups and they all agreed on what time each group will be meeting to avoid having many members at the meeting point which will lead to maintaining social distance.
Ida concluded by telling the community members to put their trust in only God. Ida only taught two groups. Next time will teach group three which missed because of time.
