David and Steven were in mpumiro village.Their intentions of going there was to continue encouraging the members to work and improve on their sanitation facilities. As the kibo staff were in the village they first met with the VHT mis Tumuhayise who led them to where the village chairman mr Aziz was in a village meeting. Mr Aziz told David and Steven that he was very sorry because he was not going to move home to home along with them reason being he was the one supposed to be giving out the money from the government for the elderly. Actually it was a general exercise which was going on around the entire namutumba district . Therefore the kibo staff moved in quite a few homes around the village. It was so because everyone in the village was heading out to where the government officials were Carrying out the exercise of giving out the money to the elderly people. However David and Steven instead moved in the fewer homes in the upper section checking on the progress. Fortunately they saw some improvements. Unfortunately since there was no people in their homes so that they would guid them on the rightful standards. And also there was another challenge of the off and on rains throughout the day . They would not continue with their home to home movements therefore they end up their day in the village in that way. In general according to David,s point of view was that there was some sanitation progress in the upper section as compared to the lower section.

2020-08-05 - Purpose: More encouragements about sanitation improvements as well as monitoring the sanitation progress in the upper section of the village.
