Notes
David and Martin went to lgerera A . Their intentions of going there was to demonstrate for the members in the lower section how to construct the hand washing station as well as the encouragements towards the improvements on the rest of the other home sanitation facilities. As they were in the village they first met with the v h t mr matiya who led them in the lower section were the demonstration for the construction of the hand washing stations was to take place. However before the demonstration the kibo had arranged with the village chairman and he had divided up the village lower section into four groups. They did so because the kibo,s intention was to reach out to many people but avoid them from overcrowding in one place. When they reached in the lower section mr matiya the v h t requested the kibo staff on the behalf of them to demonstrate how to construct a hand washing station. He said so because in his upper section were he resides some time back he was taught by the kibo on how to construct one .Therefore on that Martin and David gave him ago ahead to carry out the demonstration. The entire demonstration session went on well and the kibo were reminding him of some points which they saw that he had missed. For example he was emphasizing much on the use of soap and missing out the ash usage. Also the kibo explained clearly why the standard heights for the hand washing station should be easily used by all the age brackets to mention but a few young,,adults, and the elderly. They also encouraged those who had not yet improved on their sanitation facilities to improve on them . It was a good idea of the grace period of two and half a week to all the members from the four groups to have finished their hand washing station constructions . However the kibo staff appreciated mr lsakya Samuel the mansion who volunteered to take a lead towards the work of the construction of the hand washing stations. Later afterwards David demonstrated how to construct a standardized dish rack by the use of fewer nails . Unfortunately David and Martin came across quite a good number of ladies who were abandoned by their husbands. However David and Martin encouraged the ladies who were abandoned by their husbands to work hard by pleasing their distant husbands. Later who knows they would see some good change in the homes they had left and turned back. The kibo also crossed in the upper section of the village because they wanted to check on some homes which had the need for the Sanitation improvements. As David and Martin moved in the upper section they were encouraged so much by some ladies who had worked and improved on his latrine pit even by roofing it . They encouraged her so much to even improve on the rest of the other sanitation facilities. In general according to David and Martin,s view they saw a greater change and a good progress in the homes in the lower section.
