Notes
Alex met with the village chairman and the water user committee members at the old borehole in Igerera B to discuss how this well can be repaired and maintained to avoid further breakdown that would cause congestion at the new borehole drilled by Kibo in the village. This old well was drilled back in 1994 by the government and for a very long time the village came together to get it fixed whenever it broke down. This old borehole was serving a big village population and put it at a higher risk of breaking easily. Recently kibo group added a new borehole in this village to decongest this old borehole but one fact remain that this borehole needs repair. The water user committee together with the chairman of the village promised to work hard and mobilize the village to contribute towards this repair. They requested kibo group to partner with them to get this well repaired and maintained too. This will help to prevent congestion at the new borehole and allow many people access water with some ease in their village. They promised to contribute materials towards construction of the wall fence and kibo group would buy the other parts needed to repair the borehole. The chairman continued to thank kibo group for the support and partnership in his village
