- Notes
- David and Steven went to Ndhalike village. And their intentions of going there was to continue encouraging the homes in the upper section which had not yet worked and improved on sanitation facilities.
As they were in the village they first met with mr mugote Stephen and kisame Fred who led them into quite a good number of homes . They moved from the lower section throughout the trading centre.
However David and Steven were so much encouraged with the majority of the homes which had finished the construction of their hand washing stations and even had improved on their other home sanitation facilities.
Therefore on that point the majority of the members who had finished the construction of their hand washing stations raised their challenge that they had finished the construction of their hand washing stations but the biggest challenge was to plaster them using cement.
On that note the sanitation committee chairman made a request through the kibo staff . He said that if at all there was any providence from the kibo office it would help towards the sustainability of the hand washing stations which were constructed using the mad .
The kibo staff instead insisted by encouraging the village members to to provide cement for theirselves . They even gave an example to them of a certain lady who had plastered his hand washing stations in the trading centre.
They even explained to many how sustainable her plastered hand washing was. Because it had lasted for quite longer than the new ones they had just finished constructing.
They ended their day with the next plan which was to encourage in the homes which were still lagging behind as far as their sanitation status was concerned. In general according to David and Steven,s overview was that the majority were improving.
