Notes
Martin and Steven were in Ibaako, they walked around the with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement in that village like the new facility constructions, for example latrines, rubbish pits, kitchens, dish racks, shower facilities and hand washing stands. Good enough the big number of homes have worked on their home facilities like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities and some have worked on rubbish pits and dish racks. But the group was encouraging encouraging the residents about the standards maintenance and smearing like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities, to their village better and clean. On the side of hand washing stands, the group was demonstrating home to home, due to Covid 19. Because kibo staff can’t bring many people in one place. Because home to home social distancing can be better and manageable, but if they bring them together social distancing can be unmanageable. The residents are willing to work on their hand washing stands, in order to prevent diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid, which my come due to poor hygiene. The group was also encouraging the residents about contributing the money for buying iron sheets for roofing the new latrines. According to how others have worked on their new latrines, they told the group that they are willing to pay that money. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked in 32homes.
