Notes
Alex was in Naibowa to supervise the process of test pumping to make sure it qualifies before installation and casting Is done. This is the step that follows after successful drilling that was done a few days ago. The static water level was at 10.36M before the actual blowing of water was done. The water was blown out for three hours nonstop to make sure the water clears and to determine the dynamic water level. The dynamic water level after three hours of blowing and pumping at 1300L/hr, was at 16.76M. The water in this new borehole is estimated to be above 3000L/hr. The water was able to clear after 2 hours of pumping and the village described it has pure Rwenzori water. They were able to take home for home use and drinking. A group of jubilant women and men was happy that their water is not salty like the other well that is having salty water and not consumable by any body. Test pumping for one hour will continue the following day to make sure the water has cleared before installation and casting.
