Irene went to kagulu to meet the breastfeeding mothers as planned but reaching the village the vht had mobilized the pregnant mother so she taught the pregnant mothers and their husbands.
Irene taught about antenatal care and the different activities carried out on each visit. Following the antenatal visit card Irene asked the mothers to mention the different activities carried out during each visit .
Mai mentioned blood tests, urine tests, Hasifa mentioned blood pressure and several activities as discussed so Irene encouraged the mothers to make sure that on each visit the activities discussed should be done and noted in the books so as to keep records and to avoid repetition.
The mothers also ask Irene why when at the health centers the mothers are not given enough attention as needed and even when one has a question the health worker has no time to attend to them. Irene said it’s not all the health workers with that attitude but Incase of that the community members should go to the local leaders and report the matter.
Irene was very grateful that’s each mother had at least visited the health center.
