Notes
Irene went to Nabikenge to still meet with the health education ambassador to go through some of the other lessons she thought needed more explanation. The lessons went on well then after the health ambassador requested Irene to talk to one of the members in that community called Grace. Grace is a hypertensive patient who she says has several complaints like headaches, blurred vision, dizziness and more but she keeps defaulting the hypertension drugs. Irene talked to Grace and she asked her the reason for not being consistent on drugs and she said she had gone to the herbal clinic in the neighboring village and was take that the medicines she is given can cure hypertension and the other related diseases. She also said that she was told that it’s the drugs will instead reduce her life span.and many reasons as she continued explaining Irene first of all told Grace that hypertensive drugs don’t reduce the life span but instead control the hypertension and maybe prolong life as one is taking their drugs correctly. Irene continued to explain the advantages of not defaulting drugs and the disadvantages of defaulting drugs and as they continued with the discussion Grace promised Irene that she was not going to default her drugs again.
