Notes
Alex B was to meet all the members at the site of their garden project to discuss how to manage the project, but only discussed with the chairperson and secretary of the group. This was after most of them went to attend the burial to the neighborhood. He was received by Saul the chairperson and after Moses the secretary of the group. They together went to garden project of soybeans. Soybeans most of it has germinated and propose to plant some maize with in some lines of them. The garden is clean without weeds. He asked them if they had records about their garden and the answer was that not all things were recorded. The next question was if the could remember how much so far spent and the labour by members of the group. He also asked if they can predict what they hope to spend as they go along with the project, and still it was okey with them. He told them as it will help them as leaders to give a good accountability to the members concerned. Then later as a group will know how much as profit from the garden after selling. Together we came up with them a list of activities toward the garden project they are doing as per the season. 1.Hiring land.2-clearing Bush,3-ploughing. 4-seeds. 5-labour for planting.6-weeding.7-drugs.9-harvest.10- storeroom. These all needs money that should be recorded for smooth running of the group. Alex B advised them to come up with records that will be presented to members during the next meeting with costs. It will help the members to know how much they invested in the garden. We shall discuss with them how to cost the labour provided by the members of the group and the amount spent if their is any complain about it.
