Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, he walked around the village with the Chairman LC1, LC2 and the VHTs. Their intention was to encourage the residents about how they are going to construct the hand washing stands in that village, new pit latrines and to discuss about the second evaluation. At fast the group was putting much pressure on demonstrating home to home how the residents are going to work on their hand washing stands. The group was so encouraged to see that those homes who have been lagging behind to work on their new pit latrines, they have started working on them. So the group was encouraging them to work so hard, because they are not working on latrines only, they have to work on other facilities like kitchens, rubbish pits, dish racks, shower areas and hand washing stands. The group was also encouraging the residents to work on their sanitation facilities on their own without force, because those facilities are going to help them not kibo. And those facilities are going to help them to improve on the hygiene, and to prevent diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid 19 , which is putting much pressure the hall world. The hall village was just appreciating kibo, for the work of promoting hand washing stands. Because those stands are going to help them for a long time, better than the tip taps, if someone can maintain it very well. And the village leaders was also appreciating kibo for the work of sanitation and hygiene going on in their community as well as the village. Because they told Martin, that work of encouraging the residents to work on the sanitation facilities, it’s for them. And they said that, if there’s another program which can develop their village, they are willing to work with kibo. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked in 34homes.
