- Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
- Notes
- Ida went to Nawandyo to teach a Bible lesson about Loving others to group B. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, Ida asked the community to form groups of less than ten (10) members in order to maintain social distance. It was quite hard to convince the community to divide into groups but Ida insisted.
So these two groups meet on different days as decided by the community members. Whenever Ida teaches, she studies the members intensively as well as sporting out those who will be Kibo ambassadors who will be trained to teach the rest of the community members.
Ida started by telling a story of the Good Samaritan. She asked the members to give names to the story characters. The man who was injured they named him Bwire, the Good Samaritan was Okoboi, the clinic(Nawandyo Health center) the people who bypassed were pastors, Reverends,Fathers (catholic) and Kibo groups staff.
The story is old but looked and sounded new because of the characters used.
They said that they have been hearing it, but were not understanding the meaning.
After the story, Ida asked the community the lesson learned.
David said that “Loving others without expecting something back in return “
Veronica said that “some religious leaders should stop being busy and work on the emergency “
Muhammad said that “The Good Samaritan is Kibo group” and Ida asked why he thinks that way. He continued saying that Kibo gives water, trees, goats and many things to people they don’t know. He also asked the community to always keep time and encouraged them to attend the weekly lessons because none of them fuels the vehicles that Kibo use.
Ida thanked the community for realizing that fact and encouraged them to go and do it to their neighbors.
