Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, he walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, especially on the new hand washing stands and encouraging the residents about the new model dish rack. Good enough, the big number of homes have worked on their new hand washing stands, but they are not plastered. So the group was encouraging the community members to buy cement for plastering them, to make them strong, clean and to help them for a long time. Martin and the group, was so encouraged to hear the good news from Moses Mwase, he is just appreciating kibo’s work of encouraging them about their sanitation facilities. He is renting someone’s house, he told the group that, before kibo went to their village, his land lord was not easy about constructing the home facilities like latrine, kitchen and the shower area. But now because of kibo’s encouragement, his boss dug a new pit latrine 25ft deep, it’s under construction and he worked on the new strong dish rack. And Moses himself promised to work on other facilities like rubbish pit and the hand washing stands. And the chairman LC1 for that village, he was also appreciating kibo staff and the donors, for the work of encouraging his residents about their homes facilities. He told Martin that, in the government policy, he is the one supposed to encourage the community members about those facilities. That is why, he is so happy for that big work. And he is requesting kibo that, if there’s any other program, which can develop his village, he is willing to welcome that program in his village and to work with them. Unfortunately Martin and the group was continuing with the group, the heavy rain started. So the group walked in 26homes.
