Village Notes
This village is comprised of 2 LCs, Bukasa LC and Buyange. These two form the great Buyange community. These two are comprised of more than 270 homes and have two trading centers of Kidhali trading center and Kamwenge trading center. The people in the lower part of the community of Buyange are indeed water stressed since they have to walk for more than 2km to the borehole they have in the community and this is very large and spread out

Notes
This meeting was very successful as compared to the previous one that had a poor turn up due to a heavy downpour. Over 100 people turned up for this meeting and all were very happy to Kibo for considering them once again and the LC chairman apologized on behalf of his community for the poor turn up in the previous meeting. Alex talked to the community to maintain their sanitation facilities during this rainy season that has just started, many facilities tend to fall during the heavy rains so Alex encouraged them to always fix their facilities to keep their homes and community clean. He added that Kibo and Buyange community shall all celebrate if the people and the kids are healthy living in a healthy community. Kibo is going to drill a borehole in their community but it would be very great if the community can maintain their hygiene and sanitation facilities and keep a clean and safe water chain. The community development officer from Magada sub-county and a representative from the district water office pleaded with his people of Buyange to obey whatever Kibo is asking them to do because this is for their own good as a community and that they are helping the government to meet it’s goals in the district. Alex then talked about the contributions that they have to make. They have to raise 300,000sh for the initial borehole account and as part of the initial capital cost. This is a sign of community borehole ownership and he called on everyone to participate in all the steps until the borehole is completed. They have to attend all the meetings where together they learn what is required and agree together to avoid misunderstandings that always may come up. The community members were also told that they have to raise money and feed all the workers. The community was able to select a new water committee that will work as they prepare everyone during this process of borehole survey and drilling. 4 women and 4 men were appointed by the community as he guided them. The key positions of chairperson and treasurer are women. Before the meeting would end, it started to rain and another meeting was planned for Friday 9/03/2018 to continue to discuss the steps that the community have to meet and follow and also continue to prepare them very well. Alex will also teach this community and the new water user committee what they have to do during this process
