Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, he walked around the village with the Chairman LC1, LC2 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the improvement made in the construction of new hand washing stands, the improvement on other facilities like dish racks, latrines, shower areas and to encourage those homes who are still lagging behind to work on their sanitation facilities like latrines, kitchens, dish racks, rubbish pits, shower areas and the new model of hand washing stands. Good enough, on the side of hand washing stands, the big number of homes in that village have constructed them and plastering them with cement. So when Martin was planning to go to that village, he went with the small jerrycans. When the group saw the did a great work. They decided to supply the jerrycans, for washing their hands after visiting their latrines, to prevent some diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid 19, which is putting much pressure the hall world. And every family which received the small jerrycans was so much happy and they was just appreciating kibo, for that great work which is good on in that village. The group was also encouraging the residents to work hard on other sanitation facilities and the value of those facilities. And demonstrating to the residents how they can construct the new model dish racks and the value of using it. And those homes who have not yet plastered their hand washing stands, the group was also encouraging them to plaster them, so that they can also get the smell jerrycans for washing their hands after visiting their latrines, to prevent some diseases which can cause death especially on the side of the young children. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked around in 28homes.
