- Ida went to Maliga to teach about the feeds table and ratio. She gave them the feeds table and ratio which will guide them . She advised the group to always mix their feeds than buying which is already mixed. When the community mixes its own, the challenge of buying less and feeds of poor quality will stop. If the recipe is not followed, the results will not be good. Eg if Chic and Duck mash needs 62 kgs of maize brand and 25kgs of cotton seed cake, then you use 50 kgs of maize brand and 10 kgs. That’s not what the menu says, so the results will be poor because the vitamins,proteins and all food values are less. The chics will not grow, gain weight and will be weak, at this point, revise the menu and see what went wrong but it will be hard to tell what the problem came from because you don’t know the quantity they used. Ida gave them the table which will guide them from the beginning when the chics are a day old till they are ready to sell or eat.

This chicken hatched ten chics and the owner is starting right away to put the lessons into practice. She taking away the chics from their mother so that in two weeks the mother starts laying again according to the lessons.
