Lesson Taught
Anger: Introduction
Notes
Ida and Diana taught about anger management. Ida started with a recap of the previous lesson, which was about taming the Tongue, every one was active indicating that they had understood the previous lesson. Ida invited Diana to handle the topic of anger. Diana started with asking the villagers what they understand by the word anger and what cause it. The women said that when their men take long to come back home, they get angry, the men also said that when their women come back home late they get angry, accusing someone falsely. Diana added some of the causes which include embarrassment, guilt, disappointment, jealousy and hurt. Diana told the men and women not to embarrass their partners in public, because this can lead to anger or fights. Always assess the situation before you act. When you are bitter, take a walk and be slow to react. Do not keep a grudge, holding people in your hearts brings sickness to a person. The community listened attentively and they were really active. This made the topic very interesting. Ida added on telling the men and women to be patient with their partners, because every one grew up differently and have different characters. Ida told them to avoid mentioning things which hurt their partners. She concluded with a verse Ephesians 4:29
