Notes
David and Steven were in kirwanire village. And their intentions of going there was to continue encouraging the homes which were still lagging behind so that they get to work and improve on their sanitation standards. As David and Steven were in the village they first met with the chairman of the village mr Hasani Bogere. They wanted to plan and figure out how best they would speed up the WASH activities in the village. Before they reached the chairman’s home ,David and Steven they bye passed Wayilogo Aron,s home . Because they wanted to check on the standardization of the different kind of dish racks he had already finished making for the residents to buy. Because Previously as a village they had sat and agreed that since kirwanire was not having enough trees in place for making dish-rack poles . So they came up with a resolution that one member Wayilogo Aloni who was having enough trees in his land every one would pay him 6000 shillings so that he could make for him a standardized dish. So for that reason as David and Steven were in Wayilogo,s home David was encouraging him on the required dish rack standardization and also the improvements on the rest of his home sanitation facilities since his latrine pit and shower area were not meeting the standards. Later David and Steven they headed to the chairman’s home . As they were in the chairman’s place Bogere Hasani this is what was discussed. They thought how best they would speed up the WASH activities. However the village chairman Bogere Hasan thought of adding on the many times the committee does the home to home movements a week . David also suggested that by adding on more ambassadors upon the active committee. They thought that during whenever David and Steven were away out of the village the new sanitation ambassadors will continue with sanitation work encouragements. David also suggested that since the village was comprised of three sections. Thus the lower and upper section where they thought of adding 5 members, while for the trading centre 7 members . They concluded their brief meeting when they had suggested that the additional of the more other members it will be done during the next field visit. After all that David and Steven they headed to where they had buried one of the community members. She used to be the borehole caretaker. She was taken to lganga hospital because she was pregnant before but she failed during delivering a baby in the hospital. Unfortunately the member who was pregnant and she failed to deliver safely she used to be the borehole caretaker. That was so bad for the WASH activities in the way that it kind of slowed down the sanitation work efficiency . So on that note as David and Steven were at the family of the diseased they paid their condolences to the member who had lost his wife and a baby . As they continued moving home to home they saw some good sanitation improvements in the different homes for example many of the members they had smeared their homes and they were looking good . They saw a lot of improvements in kokojje ,Bageya yosamu and lsabirye,s homes . Whereby David and Steven were so much encouraged and therefore they kept on encouraging everyone to copy and learn from the above mentioned homes . In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the village, there was a lot of sanitation work improvements.
