Notes
Martin and Enock went to Igerera A, they walked around the village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, to check on the evaluation data, following up on facilities that are lagging behind on the recently collected data. Good enough those homes which was lagging behind to work on their home facilities, they have started working on them like digging the new pit latrines, hand washing stands, kitchens and shower facilities. And the group was encouraging the community members about the standards, maintenance and to work so hard on their sanitation facilities. The group was so much encouraged to hear the good news from the community members who have worked on their home facilities. That those families have started encouraging those who have been lagging behind, to work on their home facilities, because they have seen the value of them and they have worked so hard, so that they can change their village to be hygienic, model village in Namutumba District and they side they can reduce some diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid 19, which is putting much pressure the hall world. Because those diseases are always caused by poor hygiene. Generally the community members are hard working people, because when work around that village, you can see the new facilities like new latrines, kitchens, shower areas, rubbish pits, but the dish racks are few because Martin have just demonstrated to them, how they can construct them two weeks back. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked in 34 because Martin and Enock fast checked the evaluation data.
