Notes
Introduction Manuela went to bukudomira village to teach about the importance of good listening and critical thinking, this lesson is aimed at educating community members the benefits of listening before acting and also having good critical thinking before deciding. Overview When Manuela reached the village she was pleased to find some members already waiting for her, she greeted them and requested the chairman to open the meeting. Manuela started her class by asking the participants to remind her about what they learnt previously, some members tried to share their ideas which was good for example one of the participants said that they learnt about Attacking and Avoiding situation, he went on and said that it’s good to avoid than attacking because it may lead to problems that may affect life. After that Manuela asked the members about the home work. Manuela introduced the lesson, Listening and critical thinking, Manuela asked the community members, How many women do listen to their husbands? How many men do listen to their women? She also asked them that do they listen to their children? Among them, most of them were honest and they said that they do but not on daily occasion. Mostly children, one of the community member said its true they don’t listen to their children, Manuela on hearing that , she said it’s very important to listen to one another, more especially children if they don’t listen to their children then they are not doing their work as parents. Manuela went on and told them children feel more loved if they are listening too and that gives them more room to come with good ideas in case of any decisions at home. Manuela also explained to the members the importance of listening she told them that when people have Spence of listening then it can lead to mutual understanding Heaney development, not only that she went on and said when people think first before acting then they will come up with good decisions making for life. Towards the end of the lesson members have agreed that they will try to adopt that culture so that they bring peace and unity in their homes. Manuela ended up informing the members that in next visit they will review all the previous lessons, learnt the last lesson and introduce the new Topic Relationship Skills.
