- Irene went to kalitumba to talk about accessing health services basically teaching about the value, the appropriate care,and understanding emergency care. Irene was welcomed by the chairman who thanked kibo for extending services to his village and also encouraging kibo not to give up on them. He then welcomed Irene to continue with the lesssons. Irene thanked the chairman and members of kalitumba for welcoming her to their village and embracing the health lessons and urged the members to make efforts and come for the lessons. She then introduced the topic of the day asking members some of the barriers and challenges to accessing health services. Members mentioned some of the barriers giving examples of lack of funds, family conflicts, bad roads,distant health services among others and with lack of knowledge on how to handle emergencies Irene asked them some of the emergencies the know of. Convulsions,Labour,diarrhea among others, so Irene advised of the various emergencies and how to handle them asking members to always take children and visit health centers when hey need medical help.
