- Ida went to introduce domestic violence lesson which is one of the lessons in the new community empowerment curriculum. She asked the community members to tell her what is domestic violence? Kateme said that it’s the fight between husband and wife. Deo said that it’s torturing children. Ida thanked them for the answers they gave and added on saying that “ domestic violence is a form of violent behavior inflicted on the victim. It’s also an act of physical violence sexual, psychological or economical violence that may be committed by family member or intimate partner. Ida asked the community members to name some things that cause domestic violence. They listed the following: Alcohol and drug abuse Child abuse Family stress Ida thanked them for the great answers and encouraged them to stop domestic violence by not drinking alcohol, stop taking drugs, respect children and maintain love in the family.

- 2020-10-30 - Purpose: To continue teaching about causes and dangers of domestic violence.
