Notes
Abraham and Chris went to Bukhana village and met with 25 members who included 11 women and 14 men, the intention of the meeting was to discuss about the village members’ plan of starting the group saving scheme, this is in line with Mvule community development program‘s emphasis on encouraging the community members to adopt a saving culture which is the only way the community will achieve a sustainable development. To reach this level, the Mvule program staff makes a number of trips trying to build the relationship among the community members, it is through this kind of relationship that members start trusting each other and it is through that trust that the community now come up with proposal to start a saving scheme. The chairperson of the village chaired the meeting where every member agreed to start a saving scheme which will compliment the goats they got from Kibo, however Abraham stretched a need to coordinate the community with the government programs and promised to take the CDO to elaborate more on saving and reinvesting the savings. At the end of the meeting the members requested Abraham and Chris to pose for a group photo with their goats they received from Kibo. Abraham will go back in near future to check on the progress of the group.
