Notes
The meeting began with a prayer and the Lc1 gave a welcome remark. The chairperson of the group Mr. Martin Kisira thanked the members for keeping time for the meeting .He also reminded them that since rain has started,he told them to plant crops like food and cash crops. Alex B asked the members about one of the members whose goat was sold by her husband. This was after members were told to meet and decide the way forward. The member is called Betty Namugwere. The members during the meeting agreed that since it was her husband ,she is to pay a fine of ten thousand Uganda shillings. The members had recovered sh.110000/ from that family and thought it good for her to pay in some money before being bought for another goat. Alex B told all the members to be faithful to themselves and the group that is when they will be able to make development. This was an achievement because members could not agree on what to do with Betty but after Alex talked to them, on how they ought to deal with some one who has made a mistake, they came up with the above decision. The members also came up with an idea of a joint group garden of cassava or groundnuts. They are to hire land for the cash crop they are going to grow and labor that may be needed. They were also mindful of buying their own drugs for spraying that might be needed for that project.
