Notes
David and Steven were in Busene village. Busene village is one of the new villages in Nsinze sub county Namutumba district which kibo is initiating to work with . This village has got many on and off death issues which has greatly challenged the WASH activities in the village. So as David and Steven were in the village their intentions of going to Busene was to make arrangements for next coming triggering session. However during David and Steven,s stay in the village they moved in about 12 homes monitoring and assessing the sanitation status. Out of the home to home movements this is what was discovered . They saw some two homes which had two new dug rubbish pit . The two homes which had the two sanitation progress of the two finished dug rubbish pit impressed David and Steven so much . They realized that the three field trips were some how fruitful. By only some village leaders hearing and getting the fewer sanitation advises about the safe water chain from the one meeting the kibo had with the village leaders . After the home to home movements the kibo staff were led by the village chairman mr Mudaki Paul into his home for a brief discussion in preparation for the next coming triggering session . Out their discussions this is what was talked about . The targeted number of residents who were to be present during the triggering session was taken note of . This was in regards to observe the ministry of health guidelines . Because of that the kibo and village chairman decided to mobilize not more than 80members. Though the ministry of health of Uganda had recently put some adjustments to about 200 for the bigger gatherings . Also Masks were taken note of as well as the whoever shows up for the triggering session first of all the vice chairman sanitizes him or her before they get into designated triggering venue. The triggering venue was the chairman’s compound which had the good shelter and enough space for accommodation. Also out of the point s which were taken good note of was which members were to be mobilized for the triggering. Mr Mudaki Paul the village chairman suggested of mobilizing the Vht,s and the other members from the different corners of the village. To act as ambassadors to the rest of the other residents who will not be available during the corse of the session of triggering. Since they were supposed to orbserve the ministry of health rules and regulations when holding bigger gatherings. Later after all that the kibo left the village for the Nsinze subcounty with plans of meeting and talking to the C D O and the health assistant. Because the two mentioned governmental officials were supposed to be present always during the triggering session. At the sub county they found mr Jumah Mugoya the health assistant who promised to came along with the C D O for Busene village during the triggering session. Because of time David instead just phone called miss Namukuve the community realizations officer from the Namutumba police station. Who also promised not to let kibo at any time whenever she was being called for the sanitation improvements sensitization. In conclusion David and Steven left the village chairman with an assignment that he was supposed to mobilize the members for triggering.
