caring for trees
Notes
Abraham, Alex and Chris met twenty three Kazimbakujira members and they divide up in three groups to check how they planted the trees and take care of them. The chairperson Mr John told the group that he has been checking how the members planted the trees and many did a great work but some few still need improvement because they planted near the land mark or near the house. Abraham thanked the members for planting the trees and concerning planting near the house or land mark he advised them for Musizi it is okay because for it does grow so big and also it does not have big roots which can damage a house but the problem is with Mvule because it grows big, also the roots can damage the house. They went in three groups to check the trees and they were all doing well and the good thing they have done is each child in the home has his or her trees they are taking care of. They encouraged those who have not yet put a cage around the trees to do it to protect them from animals. They also told them to be prepared to water the trees during dry season because they do not know how January will be in fact the seasons have changed and it may or not rain in January. So we do not know exactly how January will look like but they need to be prepared for anything. The children were excited to show where they planted the trees which is a good indicator that even in the dry season they will look over them. Abraham asked to keep on taking care of the trees until they will come back next year and wished them a merry Christmas and happy new year.
