Notes
Suzan and Tape went to the village to meet with the local leaders and some committee group members so as to discuss the way forward to the continuation of the program activities after elections which were so intense. When they arrived in the village, they went to the chairperson’s home and found him sitting under a tree together with some group leaders. They welcomed Kibo staff and together sat down and first discussed about the activities that took place previously before elections. The chairperson informed Kibo staff how most members had managed to improve on their facilities such as smearing and repairing their fuel efficient stoves and the kitchens as well as building stoves for new members who didn’t have kitchens by then yet they participated in the program implementation. He also said that the elections were carried safely although a few people had conflicts after wards which were then settled down by the village security leaders and most people had resumed their daily activities. He then requested Kibo staff to start going to their village and continue with their lessons since everything was back to normal. Later after, Tape and Suzan in the company of some members went and visited a few homes while monitoring the improvements of their facilities. According to observations, it was very true that most members had repaired their kitchens by constructing the roofs and the high risen firewood storages which was impressive to see. Kibo staff thanked the members for the good work done and encouraged them to always maintain their facilities and continue working together as team in developing their village. The members thanked Kibo for the visit and the meeting came to an end.
