- The village to Kamudoke was meant to meet with all the local leaders to officially introduce kibo group in the village and its intentions. Alex first called the water user committee chairman before to mobilize the rest of the leaders for the meeting but unfortunately the meeting didn’t take place because someone passed on early morning and the village leaders had gone to prepare for the burial. Alex together with the chairman of the committee, Mr. Swaga David decided to move around the village to get the picture of the village and its size. Alex checked in some homes to see the sanitation status and realized that the homes in the lower part of the village are really badly off since they are affected so much by the waters in the swamp more so during the rainy season. He noticed some new facilities already under construction in two homes located in the upper section. The general picture of the village is not very good and will need a lot of efforts from kibo group together with the leaders. Another meeting with the leaders was scheduled for next week on Wednesday to plan for the village baseline survey. Alex decided to proceed to Butabira to meet with the water and sanitation committee members and continue to encourage them in their roles and responsibilities and move to home to encourage people to maintain their sanitation standards and contribute towards their borehole.
