Notes
Enock made an visit in this community where he met with the chairman LC1 and VHTs to team up and walk around the community. They walked around encouraging, monitoring, evaluating and guiding the residents to continue improving on the sanitation facilities with emphasis on Latrine standards, shower areas and using cement on top of the shower areas, kitchen areas, rubbish pits, dish rack construction and construction of hand washing stations. There are many new latrines which are being constructed with bricks and cement since most of the home are near the main town and soon going into a municipality. As we continued walking around, we saw some people with new dish racks, latrine pits that are still under construction. We have then some ideas on how to construct good and strong foundation for new latrines to stand and sustainable. There are some new dish rack as well, rubbish pits which are used very well and it’s observed through the clean compounds. There are so many children are still in holidays as we met some in their home we encouraged to help there parent on improving the levels of sanitation, clean the latrine with ash every day since there parents are busy with work in there gardens looking for food and money to take them back to school. There are five newly dug pits, two new hand washing stations and we’ll cemented. I was so impressed to see that there are still using the pick axes and sharing with homes which want to dig new latrines and show the unity.
