Notes
Suzan went to the upper section of the village to follow up on the stove usage and the maintenance of the other facilities such construction of the firewood storages and the kitchen roofs. When she arrived there, she found the group chairperson with six members at his home waiting while discussing about different issues concerning the program activities. They welcomed her with greetings and then informed her how they had just received sad news about the loss of one of the elderly members at a neighboring village. The chairperson suggested they first move around the village and monitor some facilities before proceeding to the funeral. Together they went and began visiting home to home for those who participated in the program activities. Suzan followed up 18 homes and found some elderly children helping in preparing food on the fuel efficient stoves. About four stoves needed to be repaired and smeared because they had cracked all over and some firewood storages needed to be reconstructed as well. Suzan advised the members to improve on their facilities before the evaluation process in the next coming visit. Some new members informed Suzan how they had also wanted to get the new saving firewood stoves and Suzan requested the old members to build for them once they collected enough grass and agreed to pay them some little fee. She encouraged them to continue working together as a team especially when building stoves for other new members at the neighboring villages or for the new members interested in the stoves. Later after the follow ups the members thanked Suzan for the advice and lessons taught that day and the meeting came to an end.
