Notes
Enock made a visit to this community to check on latrine construction, dish rack, shower areas, kitchen areas and hand washing facilities. When he reached the community, he met with the local leaders to walk around the community members to mobilize the residents to come and attend the community meeting which will take place on 21st this month. The chairman and VHTs we super excited and they gave for long wanted to have a general meeting to point out factors that are challenging community members who are still lagging behind to bring them up to speed to improve their sanitation standards. As we continued walking around to educating and emphasize the core values of sanitation facilities and uses. They saw some new pit latrine holes which are under construction and the pix axes are busy with the people to dig latrine holes. I was so impressed to see a family of twaha who has just built a new home but first constructed a pit latrine and shower area before constructing. We encouraged him to build a new model hand washing station since COVID is around they showed build two stands one at the front and the other next to the latrine. They welcomed the new ideas and willing to cooperate. We managed to walk in many homes to continue educating, shaming those families which are lagging behind to bring them up to speed, to mobilize the residents to work together and improve their sanitation. I reminded the local leaders to take the initiative to continue working together as a team so as they continue improving on their sanitation and hygiene. The vice chairman Mr Samwiri has also completed the construction of his new latrine and built two new hand washing stations in his home
