- Alex Walyomu and Alex Bamulumbye went to Kamuli district to attend a water and sanitation coordination meeting where kibo group had been invited to give a report about its WASH activities in the district. Kibo group is active in two communities in the district, namely Naibowa and Ndhalike villages. Alex W read out a report of WASH activities that had taken place in these two communities and the district water office and other leaders appreciated kibo group for its partnership in the district. This meeting was a platform to gather all stake holders handling WASH activities in the district and many NGOs were invited at this meeting. These meetings take place at a quarterly basis and district promised to continue inviting all NGOs active in the district to attend. This meeting also helps to distribute WASH services in communities without duplication of work and you get to share what other NGOs are doing. Alex W shared in a meeting the idea that Kibo group has taken up of constructing brick wall fences at its water sources and everyone in the meeting appreciated the idea despite its cost implications.
