Martin and Steven were in Kilwanire, their intention was to check on the new sanitation facilities. They reached in that village, when the village leaders and community members are so happy, because of receiving the new small jerrycans last week but one. Because they worked so hard on their new hand washing stands, and they have been complaining for the small jerrycans kibo promised them long time. According to kibo’s experience in villages when you promise the community members anything, you have to fulfill it. So kibo staff promised them the small jerrycans for washing their hands, after visiting their latrines, to prevent some diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid 19 which is putting much pressure the hall world. Because one day, the community members told Martin and Steven that, they have worked hard on their hand washing stands, so if you don’t bring the Jerrycans, don’t come back to our village. And they also side that, they are not going to work on other facilities like kitchens, rubbish pits, dish racks, and shower areas, those who have not worked on them. That is why, Martin and Steven, was forced to take the jerrycans in that village. Good enough, those homes who have not worked on them, they have started working them like latrines and kitchens. So as kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked in 30homes.

2021-03-12 - Purpose: Follow up and to meet with the local leaders to discuss about the third evaluation.
