Suzan went back to the village so that she would share the evaluation findings that took place in the previous visit. When she got there, she went to the meeting place and found some of the participants gathered under a tree with their committee group leaders. They happily welcomed her to the village and then Suzan went ahead and explained the purpose for her visit that day. It was very important to share with the members the evaluation findings because they needed to correct their mistakes and improve on all their facilities even if the kitchens program was out of the village for some time. Suzan began by explaining some mistakes found during the first evaluation such as not having rubbish pits, poorly smeared houses, half construction of shower areas and latrines, poor roofing of kitchens and poor stove maintenance. She spoke about how it was very important for each home to have well maintained facilities while cooking on their stoves on a daily basis because if they didn’t do so, they would be forced to go back in the same poor state that they lived before the program was implemented in the village. A time frame of six months was given to the members to improve on their facilities before the second evaluation process. She also encouraged the members who had properly mastered the skills for building the stoves to go ahead and build the fuel efficient stoves for the members who participated in the program activities but didn’t have kitchens by then. She encouraged them to always work together as a team and build more stoves at the neighboring villages and be able to earn something out if it which would help them sustain their families. She requested the members to always welcome any new Kibo program that would be introduced in the village. The members thanked Kibo staff for the advice given and promised to work together as a team during the stove building and other village developments and the meeting came to and end wishing each other a happy stay.

Yes the participants reported about the stoves saying how they have greatly improved in their daily lives while cooking on them most especially the women.

Most of the sanitation and hygiene facilities have been well maintained such as the hand washing facilities,shower areas, latrines and dish racks.
