Notes
Alex went back to Butabira village for water survey with the hydrogeologist. Many of the village residents turned up to witness and participate in the whole process of water survey. They participated fully in the process helping to pull the wires and carrying the tools used in surveying. A total of 10 sites were surveyed but unfortunately they were all unsuccessful having showed very bad results. This was very disappointing to all of us and decided to have another day to go back and try to locate a potential water point for drilling in the village. The hydrogeologist decided to carry out calibration on the existing borehole and It showed results that were far from what we had got in the 10 surveyed points. This has proved very hard to find a good water point for drilling in Butabira and would need more time and patience to locate one. All the village residents at the end of the day were very worried but were encouraged by Alex to remain positive and hopeful. The hydrogeologist and Alex agreed to go back on Wednesday 17/03/2021 to try and find a potential site for drilling in Butabira village.
