Notes
Suzan went to the village purposely to teach and guide the community members how to smear their buildings. However when she reached there, she met three group leaders madam nabirye, farida and mr. Issa at the meeting place. They told her how they had abruptly received sad news upon the loss of one their elders and for that case most of the members had gone for the burial at the nearby village while others were just preparing to leave. Suzan felt sorry for their loss and they all greed to briefly walk around the village and visit a few kitchens and other facilities. In the process, Suzan found that most kitchens were not smeared and well roofed together with other facilities. Suzan encouraged the members who were found at their homes to improve on their facilities before the stove building process begins. This was very important because for each person to get a stove, their houses needed to be well smeared with strong roofs and walls. Suzan thanked the members for their time and then promised to go back to the village and carry out the first smearing demonstration so that others would also get a chance to know how it was actually done. The members thanked Suzan for the advice and visit that day and wished them well.

17817 The members in kishaike village need to be empowered with the skills of building the new improved stoves because most of the kitchens observed that day were found with the traditional three stones open flames stoves inside.
