- Irene went to Naisamula village to teach about family planning. The meeting started with a remark from the chairman who thanked the members for coming to the meeting, thanked kibo for the different programs that have visited their community because as for now a lot has changed in their village and when one compares the present with the past years there is a great improvement in their village. The chairman then invited Irene to say a word to the community members. Irene thanked the chairman for the opportunity given, thanked the members for turning up and encouraged them to bring more members. Irene then carried out a review of the previous lesson and asked the members that regarding the government official she will plan on a different date and she will let them know. Irene then introduced her topic of the day as family planning where she asked the different members to define, give the different types and examples of each. Family planning is when a man decides on how many children he is to have said Nabirye, it’s how a man and a woman plan their children like when to start having children and when to stop.said yofesi. On addition to that Irene said it’s the planned decision between a couple or an individual on the number of children to have and the time interval. Irene then asked the members the two different types of family planning, Natural and artificial said one of the members, and as for the different examples the members mentioned condoms, IUD, implant, injectable,pills among others with several interactions on how each one works Irene asked the members that the next time she comes they will discuss and demonstrate each method on how it’s inserted or applied p, side effects and their solutions.
