Notes
Enock went to this community to check on the sanitation and hygiene progress in the lower section of this village which had needed more emphasis on the standardization, guidance on improving the latrine structures and focusing on homes which are lagging behind. We encouraged on behavioral change and adopt the proper sanitation and hygiene in there homes. During the teaching and discuss we had we remained the residents on the many disadvantages of open defecations, talked about the expenditures that a raise due to continuous diseases in their families and has led to continuous poverty since they are not able to save some money for development or take there children to school. There are some good facilities which are constructed in this community, great improvement although few people needed more emphasis to learn the core values and importance of constructing good standard facilities more latrines. I encouraged them to use good materials for construction like cement and sand to construct better facilities. Those who lost there latrines due to heavy rainfall asked me for more advise and guidance on how to construct sustainable latrines. This gave me an opportunity to continue teaching them the importance of constructing a strong foundation which gives the structure a strong base. The resident say the lesson have greatly helped them to develop and transformed. They are embracing the program and working toward increasing there sanitation and hygiene standards.
