Notes
Chris went to this village to continue guiding the group members as they were discussing about their piggery project, Chris was able to meet only the selected project which comprises of 8 members. The chairperson of the committee, Mr Baliteganya informed Chris that they spent the entire last week trying to survey the location where they hope to build their piggery structure, the chairperson said fortunately they were able to get a suitable place at the chairman’s home however he appealed to the project committee members to encourage the members to start bring the logs and timber at the site where the piggery structure is going to be built, this came after every group member pledged to bring a log or timber for putting up the structure. The chairperson also said contributions of money for the piggery feeds was going on well and members are complying so well with the previous meeting resolutions however Chris encouraged the committee members to focus on local feeds which are readily available and easy to find for example cassava, sweet potato leaves, water from the borehole, and so on, Chris said this will help to save some money for treatment and expansion of the project. Chris also emphasized the need for every member to be responsible for the project they are planning to start, he said responsibilities vary bringing from security of the project property, record keeping , accountability to bringing proposals that help the project to go forward. The chairperson concluded by requesting Chris to consider discussing with the community group members about opening the group bank account as his next lesson because the group members agreed to open a bank account where they will keep the group money safe. Chris will be going back on 3/05/2021 to guide the community as they discuss about opening the group bank account.
