Notes
Abraham met nine Buluvu community members and the purpose was to check how they planted the trees to make sure they followed the guidelines they were given by Kibo. Soon as Abraham reached the chairman LC1 told him them one of a community member lost his kid, the community member lives in Kampala but he is born of Buluvu and they brought the body for burial. They moved with the chairman checking how the members planted the trees in five homes and it was time to go for burial. They would have completed more homes but whenever they reached, every home they were told to eat and that takes time. They couldn’t say no because it could look bad to them and also the chairman had taken long without visiting these homes. Some two members they planted some trees near the boundary whereby in future they will be big and it will cause a big problem because everyone will be claiming for them. They were advised to change them as soon as possible because the roots have not yet gone deeper. Abraham was impressed how the community members are involving their children in the program, he showed the children how to put cages around the trees to make sure they are not eaten by animals or stepped on by people. The next time Abraham will be continuing with the following up on how they planted the trees in the lower part of Buluvu. They were advised to water the trees in times of dry seasons. Abraham went to meet the family who lost a child and them headed back to JInja.
