Tom made a visit to Kisimu village to hold a village meeting with the village leaders and plan on how the baseline survey will be conducted.
Before making the trip to Kisimu, Tom met with the health assistant and one of the village vhts and together they made the trip to the village of Kisimu.
One reaching the chairman’s home, they found out that he was not around. He had gone for a burial to the neighboring village. Tom had make several attempts earlier in the day to talk to the chairman and the vhts but all was in vain as their phones could not go through.
Tom, the health assistant and the vht drove to the burial place and met the chairman who agreed to come with them to his place for a short meeting. During the meeting, the chairman was very thankful for kibo to go to his village to help them to improve on their sanitation and hygiene.
The health assistant thanked kibo for the work the organization has done and continues to do in the villages around Namutumba.
Tom also expressed Kibo’s intention and desire to help the people and the community of Kisimu to improve on their sanitation and hygiene. The chairman also echoed the need for clean water as the existing borehole is always broken because of the many residents that use the borehole.
Tom mentioned that Kibo’s priority in the village is to improve the sanitation and hygiene of the village. On the issue of carrying out the baseline survey, the chairman agreed to mobilize his committee so that they are all present during the baseline survey .
