Suzan and Tape went to the village to practically teach the community members how to build the fuel efficient stove, however this was going to be the first demonstration stove to be built. On their way to the village it was raining heavily and when they got there, they went to the chairperson’s home and found some members already gathered inside her kitchen which was big enough to accommodate them because it was still raining from outside. The members were so happy to see Kibo staffs, and it was observed that some materials were already brought in place such as the banana stems, the dirt which was already fetched and carried inside the kitchen, the grass,water, saucepans, hoes,shovels and basins. When the rains stopped, they carried the dirt outside and Kibo staffs began measuring the dirt while mixing it with the grass. Eight basins of dirt were mixed with six basins of grass basing on the size of saucepans going to be placed into the stove. Together they began stamping the dirt until it got soft enough and ready for building the stove. Tape took measurements on the floor at the right wind direction as Suzan explained to the members. They also taught the participants how to cut the banana stems and level them so that they fit in the stove. Tape and Suzan began building the stove while explaining to the members every step because it was important for them to try and learn the first stages of stove building. Later after the stove was complete and together they celebrated while singing and dancing. Tape and Suzan encouraged all the members to improve on their facilities such as smearing all their buildings, good sanitation and hygiene inside and outside their houses since this was one of the major requirements before one got a fuel efficient stove. The members thanked Kibo staff for the lessons taught and promised to always work together as a team for an effective development in their community. 
Next Visit
2021-05-17 - Purpose: Continue teaching the community members how to build the fuel efficient stoves and to remove the banana stems from the previous built stove.
Program Success
Not yet identified but some members have improved on their facilities such as smearing their houses and constructing the firewood storages inside the kitchens.
Program Critical Needs
Continue teaching the members all the skills of the healthy and safe kitchens program because almost all the group members are cooking on the traditional three stones open flames stoves.

There’s a good leadership structure in the community.

Some homes have well maintained sanitation and hygiene facilities.
