Notes
Enock, the VHT, and the LC1 were emphasising on the standardisation of latrine depth and structures, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen area, rubbish pits as well as embracing the use of hand washing facilities and daily use of ash in the latrines. They taught the residents on the benefits of using good materials like bricks, cement, sand, iron sheets, slabs to also maintain the facilities well for proper sustainability. The weather lately has not been favourable for some residents. The too much rainfall broke some of the facilities hence forcing them to reconstruct new structures which are strong. This gave us a chance to strongly emphasize on sustainability and use of better materials for construction. The community members have now recognized the advantages of using good facilities. Although some people are still struggling to roof the latrine structures, because grass is scarce they are buying into other ideas so that they can roof. Some of the residents have really constructed good latrines and are being used effectively. In addition, they visited the residents who are still digging latrine holes and managed to see about 6 new pits that are being dug. Two of them are in the depth of 14ft and the others are still in 10ft deep. There has been a VHT for a very longtime she didn’t have anything called a latrine in her home. The husband managed to dig till 15ft and went ahead to construct to it. She was so happy and called on Enock to come and check on it.

Village Notes
This village has a lot of witchcraft practices. When I looked around, I noticed this village also doesn’t have a church. The people who go to church have to walk to the nearby village. Even the mosque which is there is also in another neighbouring village.
