Notes
Diana went to Nawandyo A to carry out home visits and assessment according to the community empowerment lessons. The owners of the home were so surprised to see me, because I went un announced to their homes. I did this, because I wanted to find them in their usual way of living. The people I visited kept laughing, Diana kept laughing as she requested them to allow her check through their homes. Diana checked the compound, the kitchen, the bedrooms and the sitting rooms. To Diana’s surprise their homes were clean. She encouraged them to keep up the same spirit. This meant that these people had put the lessons into practice. In my visit I met Dan the chairman helping his wife to cook. The activity ended at 2:30pm. The later she told the community to gather at the chairman’s place. Diana went to meet the members that had gathered at Dan’s place who is the chairman of Nawandyo A. The chairman thanked Diana for loving them and for checking on them always. Visiting their homes, indicates the passion Diana has for them. Mohammed also said that their community has greatly changed, he no longer gets a lot of cases on his table, the women respect their husbands, rumor mongering has been reduced and they instead embraced love in their community. Diana encouraged them to keep treating their families, neighbors with love and respect. They should keep Nawandyo A shining so that other communities learn from them. The community community promised to keep up the hygiene, respect in their families, practicing love and forgiveness in their community.
