- Jeska went to kishaike village to continue teaching participants how to practically build stoves. This time the main forcus was to guide participants as they build stoves on their own. She reached in the village and found when the participants had just finished stamping the dirt that will be used to build a stove for one of the participants that they had chosen.They had already moved the dirt inside waiting for Kibo staff to guide them how to build stoves. This was very encouraging to see the participants taking a step a head by stamping the dirt before Kibo reached in their village. Jeska begun by thanking them for being participatory and committed in the program. She also looked at the home facilities for this particular home to see whether she meet standards to qualify for a stove.Interestingly all the home facilities were present and well smeared proving that they chose the right person for the stove. Jeska asked the participants to measure the banana stems which they perfectly did . She asked some people to enter into the kitchen so that she guides them as they built a stove. They successfully made the foundation for the stove but failed to arrange /place the two saucepans that are used to build stoves.They put the small saucepan next to the hole that brings oxygen in the stove instead of putting them the big saucepan . This was wrong because it would be a little bit hard for enough fire to move from the small saucepan to the big saucepan. Jeska corrected them on this. At the end a stove was successfully built with more work done by the community as Kibo guided them. When the community saw a complete stove they were very excited and thanked Kibo for patiently teaching them despite the mistakes they have always made.Jeska encouraged them to keep on practicing because practice makes perfect since the goal of the program is to empower them with a skill of building stoves so that they can build for others in the group and those outside the group who might pay them some money. The community promised to keep on practicing until they master a skill of building stoves.
