- The committee members were requesting Kibo staff to have a general meeting whose aim is to get everyone on board as far as hygiene improvement is concerned.
- Ws Notes
- This is where the community members using the kigalama school borehole are patterning with Kibo to repair their broken borehole currently serving two schools and a hospital. David and Steven had planned together with the chairman of the village mr Wilber and all the members of the water users committee to have a general meeting intended to encourage every community member to be part of the sanitation improvement campaign. Unfortunately when they reached the village, the residents had lost their pastor, hence the meeting was not able to take place. They couldn’t do anything apart from visiting the family of the diseased . They prayed together with them paid in their condolences and fetched water for them. There was confusion in the village of where to burry the deceased either in that village or at his other land in namutumba district. In addition to that, David and Steven were able to see some progress of new facilities as they were heading to the home of the deceased for example new dish-racks,standardized latrines, rubbish pits. They appreciated the chairman of the village for being part of that progress.
Generally the community members getting water from the kigalama school borehole are working hard on their hygiene and sanitation and above all the entire community members for example the two schools and hospital are working together. The treasurer also told David that they had 200000/- and were still contributing to be able to get the required 300000 shillings.
