Notes
Suzan went to the village to follow up on the stove usage, stove building, smearing and construction of firewood storages in the kitchens. When she reached, she went to the meeting place and found five active group members and among them was the group chairperson Mrs. Koowa who all welcomed her to the village. Without wasting much time, she requested them to walk along together and monitor some of the program facilities. During the process, Suzan found some women cooking on their fuel efficient stoves while they had neatly smeared their homes. She also received reports from their husbands saying that they really appreciated all the Kibo programs and that there’s great improvements in the village community now. They requested for more programs to be introduced in the village because there are more issues to be handled concerning women such as food nutrition and family planning lessons and others. A few kitchens didn’t have firewood storages and also needed to be constructed at the roof. Suzan encouraged them to repair their kitchens as well begin scaling out to the neighboring communities and build stoves for those new members interested. The members were grateful for the lessons and they left wishing each other a happy healthy stay.
