Notes
Martin and Steven were in Namusita, their intention was to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement, encouraging on the standardization, checking on the progress on the hand washing construction, emphasizing on the usage of ash in latrines, to chase Flies and keep them clean. And focusing on standards of shower areas as well as making soak pits. The group was so much encouraged to see that, those homes who have been lagging behind to work on their new latrines, they are busy working on them, for example Sulaiman Mulyangule, he is digging a new pit latrine, it’s now 13ft deep and he is continuing to make it 25ft deeper and Elithabeth Kagoye, she is an old woman, a widow but good enough their sons are busy digging the pit latrine for her and some residents have worked on their new hand washing stands. And the group was just encouraging the residents about the standards, maintenance and the use of ash to chase flies and to keep their latrines clean. After that Martin, Steven and the village leaders, had a brief meeting, to discuss about their percentage for the borehole contribution. In that meeting, the village leaders a greed that in that village, they are hundred households. So each home is going to contribute five thousand shillings, for the borehole repair.
