Notes
Diana went to Bulyowa A to continue with the lesson of Domestic violence.Diana looked at the effects and solutions to domestic violence in Bulyowa community. The chairman mr WaIswa, thanked Kibo community for loving them so much. He thanked the community empowerment program for enlightening them and making their homes comfortable for them to live in. The women have started respecting their husbands, at least there are reduced cases at the LC’s table. Diana thanked the community for keeping time and honoring the Kibo programs. Diana thanked the community for putting community empowerment programs into practice. She told them that domestic violence has a lot of effects and solutions. Some of them are; depression, loss of family property, children turn out to be street kids, poverty, death. These effects can easily be handled if there is good decision making in the family. Diana told them that in most cases people look at husbands and wives and forgets that children too are involved in domestic violence. She told them to be mindful of their behaviors and characters before the children. Shouting at each other before the children is wrong. They should settle their cases in the bedroom or the gardens where children can not hear them quarrel. Mpata asked, how should they treat their wives?, Diana told him that they should agree in the right decisions in their family. No one can repair their family for them except they themselves. Diana thanked them for their time and encouraged them to keep time always and put community empowerment programs into practice.
